The VA is pathetic. After 19 years of abuse I purchased blue cross. Trouble is they only cover 90% of the procedure i need. My VA Dr here in Anchorage put me in for covering to 10% cost. The chief of intergrated care Rick Eperson told me it is illegal for the VA to cover co-pays. And that I should go back to Seattle. I been there 5 times and got nothing but a bureaucratic nightmare. I even filmed conditions worse that Walter Reed. And was treated very badly. I asked Mr Eperson that "IF" I go back for a 6th time could he gurantee me the procedure i need. He said no. And get this the airfare alone to & from Seattle would be more than the 10% I'm asking the VA to pay. The VA here in Anchorage sent me to the very same local Dr who wants to do the procedure in 05. Yet now its somehow illegal. Common sense or saving money is not what the VA is all about.

This va hospital in new mexico is poorly equipt to handle the veterans and their needs. DOD dependants have priority over 100% sc veterans. I was told it would be "cheezee" to put me ahead of one. The staff is generally hostile to older vets. Dental care is a joke. It takes 2 years to have an appoitment. They made me feel unimportant and a bother to serve.
