Return to Article: GSA proposes overhaul of federal property management practices

The "The Federal AssetManagement Improvement Act" H.R.2710, is long overdue. The government agencies should be managed as if the properties actually belonged to the those individuals. The Congress shoud pass this legislation, and the President should sign it into law!
This is proof of mismanaging government revenue. The government needs to sell this property, and in turn, they would see more tax revenue because the private sector would put the land to good use, not hoarding it, and letting it sit idle.
The Interior Dept. should sell this land to Energy developers. We need the gas, oil, coal, minerals, and forrests for our nation to continue to grow. It does no good for our tax dollars to pay for maintenance on unproductive property.
I will be contacting my elected officials this week. Thanks for the good article.
