About this Insight Report:

In the past year, respondents identified a trend of Green Government policies gaining priority within their agencies, with certain green goals being more important than others, and having more clearly-articulated policies. Energy efficiency is the top goal at government agencies, although surprisingly, some agencies do not prioritize any green goals.

The top challenges to address in achieving Green Government initiatives are lack of accountability, lack of information and need for education, and lack of funding. These roadblocks are closely followed by difficulty measuring progress or demonstrating compliance and poor implementation procedures.
