Members of the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management Blue Ribbon Fact Finding Panel on Aviation:
James E. Hall:
Co-chairman of the panel, Hall served as chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board from 1994 to 2001.
James B. Hull:
Co-chairman of the panel, Hull is the Texas state forester and director of the Texas Forest Service. He chairs the Fire Protection Committee of the National Association of State Foresters.
William B. Scott:
Rocky Mountain bureau chief for Aviation Week and Space Technology. He is a graduate of the Air Force Test Pilot School and a licensed commercial pilot.
Albert C. Hyde:
A senior staff consultant on public management innovation at the Brookings Institution's Center for Public Policy Education. He has worked on reengineering projects with the National Park Service and the National Security Agency.
Ken Johnson:
Executive director of the Transportation Safety Board of Canada, the Canadian equivalent of the National Transportation Safety Board. He is a former Royal Canadian Air Force pilot and former civilian aviation inspector for Canada's Department of Transportation.
Earl H. McKinney Jr.:
Assistant professor in the Business School at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Kentucky. He is a former Air Force pilot and aircraft commander.
