Hate getting ready for work in the morning? Try doing it in space.
As earthlings, our everyday tasks usually require little thought or creativity. Not so if you’re an astronaut. Sans gravity, many of your most mundane routines suddenly become major engineering challenges.
Take, for instance, washing your hands. International Space Station Commander Chris Hadfield of the Canadian Space Agency recently took questions from students, including one that was curious about how astronauts manage to keep clean in space:
