The General Services Administration awarded a contract on Wednesday to improve information sharing among the law enforcement agencies that investigate drug traffickers.

By the way, how much did DHS spend on information interoperability since 9/11? Which of course is exactly the same functionality being purchased here by GSA. Absurd! - Wow!! 99 Million reasons why this is a bad idea. I agree with the first post that something smells in river city. I just read an article that we spent 80 million to have the VA revamp their computer systems only to realize after ten years that nothing had ever been done. We grant this money and then have no oversight on who is doing what. Without that oversight and checks and balances, I feel just another few million down the tubes. Our military is very capable of taking care of this; however, I believe our government does not want a solution. just my thoughts. J Posted October 27, 2009 10:07 AM
