From Nextgov.com: FAA lacks detailed plan for overhaul of tri-state airspace
The Federal Aviation Administration has yet to develop a comprehensive strategy for restructuring flight routes to airports in three Mid-Atlantic metropolitan areas, according to a new report from the Government Accountability Office.

- Duh, After spending 9 years and 53 million dollars the FAA still does not have any kind of viable plan...Sounds just like the "reorganization" the FAA has recently attempted. The FAA's delusional planning fantasy seems to be "start changing things drastically and hope the details fall into place, in the meantime, act as if everything is hunky dory". - Why am I not surprised? Scrap the special-interest (aviation)agency, and work for the following: Protection of all airspaces for the people underneath(us), limit the number of flights allowed to takeoff/land during busy periods, and vigorously crack down on ALL FAA violations.
