Weapons Systems Acquisition

Two measures: Major Defense Acquisition Program cost growth; and successful completion of weapon system operational test and evaluation events.

Contract Management

Goals relate only to improving efficiency of acquisition processes rather than contract management.

Defense Infrastructure

Key performance measures include disposals of excess real property and the dollar amount of National Defense Stockpile disposals and reduction in the supply inventory. Performance indicators include the percentage of budget spent on infrastructure and the percentage of materiel assets that are visible and accessible to its Integrated Materiel Managers.

Inventory Management

Key measures related to Inventory Management: logistics response time; and the dollar amount of National Defense Stockpile disposals and reduction in the supply inventory.

Military Personnel

Three performance measures related to recruitment and retention, as well as a performance indicator for enlisted recruits that meet quality benchmarks.

Military Readiness

In addition to classified measures, other performance indicators include the amount of time military personnel are deployed, the number of flying hours per month, by service, etc.
