    Federal Segment Architecture Methodology (FSAM)

    Description: The Federal Segment Architecture Methodology (FSAM) is a step-by-step process for developing and using segment architectures that was developed by distilling proven best practices from Federal agencies and industry practitioners. Use of the FSAM should result in more complete and consistent segment architecture products and will result in greater reuse of segment architectures by providing key information that informs downstream processes for business performance, capital planning and investment control (CPIC), and the system development life cycle.     Suitability Adjudication

    Description: Learn how to perform suitability screening and adjudication for federal employment. This course covers the statutory and regulatory requirements of Title 5 CFR, Part 731 and the criteria and procedures used in making suitability determinations. Through lectures, exercises, workshops, case studies and small group discussions, this course prepares attendees to apply Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) methodology for designating position risk and the model for making suitability determinations.
